Back to Easter

Seeing that Mom took almost all of the pictures during Easter, I had to wait until I got home to post my Easter blog. For Easter this year, my new and amazing friend Emily came with me to our lake house. Because she lives in Florida, the trip was a little too far, I was more than happy for her to accompany me to Lake Sinclair.

When we arrived, Mom had made Easter baskets for us, full of candy, funny glasses, Chinese handcuffs and my favorite thing: bracelet making kits.

We then decided to get into some serious Egg dyeing...because, really, what is Easter without egg dyeing

After the dyeing, we decorated the eggs, pretty awesomely I must say...I mean, look at these guys!

Our last day at the lake was Sunday, and after laying out and getting a little roasted, we rode on the boat, my absolute FAVORITE thing to do. We were lucky enough to get Blake to show off his amazing wake board skills. Unfortunately I did not have my camera with me. But after we ate lunch, it was time for Emily and I to find the Easter eggs. YES!

So looking like ugly boys, we were ready to find the eggs.
Baby was an egg today

These are all of our findings

Our photoshoot was interrupted by the men bringing up Mr. Don's fishing boat on the golf cart, but it was pretty funny to watch
We decided that this Ginger egg looked a lot like Kandon, so we took a picture with him to pretend that he was there with us.
Jake, Howard, Phoebe and little Baby joined us for our last picture on the hill.

After the last of my dirty laundry was washed, the bags packed and watching the end of Happy Gilmore, Emily and I headed back to Athens to prepare for our week of finals ahead. All in all, it was a great trip, and I can't wait to come back to you Lake Sinclair!

Beginning the Unpack

My last few days in Russell Hall were amazing, really the best way to go out, including seeing these boxers...

look at that bulging muscle!

After many tears and hugs and more tears and last adventures and more tears...I managed to leave Athens. And now I'm HOME!

And this is what I came home to...

...not to mention what is still sitting in my car...oh my goodness

In the midst of the massive unpacking which will take place during the next few days...weeks, I happened to find my old glasses. WOW guys....WOW

It is this pair of glasses that I picked out when I was 7 years old. I was the girl that really wanted glasses (shocking) and my mom was the mom that really DIDN'T want her daughter to have glasses...I mean my mom was sitting there while I was taking my first eye exam saying, "You can see! Try harder!!" But I actually did need them...and these were the ones I had picked out...geez

I then found this next pair that I picked out in 6th grade..it's hard to tell, but those lenses are hardly bigger than my eyes, cool...

Maybe my current Ray Bans are an improvement from my past choices...or maybe I'll look back in a few years and laugh at them too..

Another interesting thing I found while cleaning was my cheat sheet for my Calculus final Junior year...(don't worry, I wasn't really cheating, we were allowed)

I mean look at that nonsense...I went back and tried to read through it...I remember absolutely nothing. What the heck is the Washer Method? And Sigma Notation...hmm

This is the exam that literally EVERYONE failed...the highest grade was a 66.
I noticed also that I had added a pretty artistic sketch to help me on my test...Thanks Jesus

More unpacking to come...since I basically did nothing today.

Happy Birthday Eli!

So yesterday was the day we have ALL been waiting for...

ELIZABETH'S 19TH BIRTHDAY!!

On the eve of her birthday, she had to work at Buffalo's..because she is a big girl after all. So I was in her room while she was getting ready...beautiful as always

So excited with her Happy Birthday pin:)

and here is Miss Eli all ready for work...isn't she adorable?

After she went to work, a group of us showed up for dinner at Buffalo's and of course requested for her to be our server, then came back to Russell where Johnny showed us that he could eat an entire roll of Bubble Tape...cool talent?

We were ready for her when she got off of work...Sarah decorated the whole room for her:)

oh sarah

The boys were very excited to be there

I then tried on Eli's work outfit...maybe a future career for me at Buffalos??

Elizabeth, I hope you had an amazing birthday! This blog is a dedication to you and all the many wonderful memories that you have given me:)

May the Fourth be with you.

Okay so you know how Chick -fil-A just fools us all the time...like you always want it on Sundays and then remember, "oh wait they are closed"...and then you always want a chicken biscuit right after they stop serving them at 10:30 am...

well Chick-fil-A FINALLY came through for us! Last night, they served breakfast food for us hungry college kids studying for finals. YUM! Nothing makes me happier than a chicken biscuit...I mean really. So Morgan, Alexis, Kinsey and I made the trip over to the east side of Athens to indulge in this rare event.

...made the trip after we had to sit Alexis down in the elevator to control her excitement, of course...

When we got there, not only was there an abundance of breakfast, but also a little cutie playing guitar and singing, and what we all love...BINGO! Alexis and I tried our hardest to get Bingo...even chanting "B4 B4 B4" but it didn't really work..

...Nevertheless, I was a happy girl with 3 chicken biscuits and a chocolate milk...

Today I decided that I was going to get feathers in my hair. I had been envying everyone else's so much that I couldn't take it anymore...So i made the call. 4:30 appointment at Republic. perfect.
Emily was sweet enough to join me and we headed to Republic, and I had my feathers picked out. And Emily took a photo shoot of course..

and those are mah feathers

When we got back, I went to Byron's study room to get my Spanish book...and what we saw there was a little strange...

The boys of 3 West had gotten tank tops made...cool...
naturally had to get a pic with my hubby Collin

We decided it was much too beautiful of a day to stay inside, so we travelled to Brumby Beach, and of course took pictures instead of study.

visits from Katherine...always a pleasure

merls

we love each other

The A Tau's decided to join the Z Tau's for a little while...who can blame them really...

Love these kids.

In the words of Emily, "May the Fourth be with you."
